Creating an immersive showroom experience

Strive Group were commissioned to support Honda in exploring new ways to market their new vehicles with a view to the potential of a remote experience. Through our ICE – Interactive Customer Experience software we created a virtual studio environment which Honda could use to showcase their upcoming vehicles in a new and dynamic way, transforming how customers had experienced new cars like never before.

The chosen car for the new customer experience was the Honda E – Honda’s ground-breaking first all-electric car. To kick off the project Strive Group worked with Honda to create a virtual model of their new vehicle, working in meticulous detail to ensure everything reflected the vehicles unique look and futuristic feel. Through the ICE software the customer can interact with the vehicle by opening and closing the doors and even sitting inside the car giving the user a truly immersive feeling allowing them to experience scale, space and finish of the car. The customer also has the capability to change the types and colours of the paintwork for a truly bespoke vehicle.

The custom-built environment allows for complete freedom to walk around the vehicle just as you would in real life, viewing it from any angle you wish, without limits. Customers can also look at the vehicle from an orbital camera to fly around the car from above. Strive Group also included a turntable in the environment to best showcase the design and details of the vehicle, allowing the car to slowly rotate, allowing for sales and marketing to dynamically discuss key features.

Additionally, a short cinematic sequence was created for Honda to use as a teaser trailer of the vehicle; due to the software’s real-time application, any changes to the paintwork the user makes while interacting with the vehicle are reflected seamlessly in the cinematic sequence, allowing for multiple videos to be made. The video was then exported as part of the softwares functionality for use across multiple digital marketing and social media platforms.

 
 

This collaborative project opened up new possibilities to the Honda marketing and sales teams on ways to enhance the customer experience by using our innovative ICE technology. The functionality and freedom to explore allows the customer to experience the car just as they would in real life -restriction free. The environment created meant the customer experienced the car like they were a VIP on the car’s inaugural photo shoot creating a very special immersive ‘showroom’ experience.
